Spring Break was fun but it's nice to be back!

I came back Saturday instead of Sunday and I hung out with my brother. He TREATED me to dinner at the Italian Oven and later to the movies (we went with some of his friends). Seriously how cute is that? He's an awesome guy! And ladies .... he's available ;-) hahah

Between dinner and the movie I went to his apartment and practiced a song that I'm going to sing for the coffee house this Sunday. I'm kind of nervous because I haven't sang in front of anyone in a long time. We are doing "Leaving on a Jet Plane" The try outs are tomorrow so we will see how we do haha.

Oh and its really hard getting back into the habit if doing homework....

Me: I dont know...I want to do something exciting!
Mike: Like what?
Me: JUMPING IN THE CREEK!!!
Greg & Heather: Krissy it's going to be freezing you always say youre going to do it but you wont!
Me: That's because no one will do it with me!
Mike: I will!
Me: (thinking crappppp) Um ok lets do it then!

I was trying to think of a way to back out because I KNEW it was going to be reallllly cold. But when THursday came around Mike walked into class wearing a T shirt and his bathing suit ... so there was NO WAY that I could back done. Plus I had to prove the people wrong that said I would wuss out hahah.

As we walk to the creek holding our towels everyone looks at us like we are crazy. And just my luck the lax team was going to practice at that exact time. When we got to teh creek he went first and his screams made me want to go in even less hahaha but after sitting on the back for a few minutes I try to gracefully put my feet into the water... but I end up tripping and falling face first into the creek. After that I just ran into the middle of the creek and dove under hahahah.

But let me tell you.... I LOVED IT!!!! It sounds so stupid but it was such a rush hahaha I can't wait for the water to get warmer so that we can all go tubing in it again. :)

So yesterday my poor Bible finally gave up and its binding fell apart. Ive had it for 5 years and i am very sad about this haha.

So I realized that I never told the story of my Valentines Day! It stretches over a few days so bear with me!

My friends and I decided to have a dinner date night for Valentines Day...we had to celebrate it on Wednesday instead of Tuesday though because the lax guys have devotionals tuesday nights. So anyway back to my story..... the guys decided that the girls had to ask the guys to be their date. That was probally the most nerve racking thing I have ever done haha. Anyway we had to ask in some special way. So Monday night Bre and I dressed in all black and ran behind the guys room (the guys that we were going to ask were roomates luckily). We asked our friend Greg to make sure their window was open. Once we got there we had someone distract them so we could throw in the things we used to ask them. I asked my friend Tyler by attaching a note to a chocolate rose thing and Bre asked his roomate Bruce by taping a note to a football. We threw in "the goods" and ran away ahha. Once we got to teh Union Tyler called me and was like "IF you guys want us to be your date you need to ask us to our face" so it was freezing cold out and we still had to run back there and ask them. THankfully they said yes haha

So Tuesday was Valentines Day.... WHen I checked my mailbox I saw that there was a purple rose with a note attached saying " If I rearranged the alphabet I'd put U and I together" ok i know its corny but it was cute. I soon notcied that there were 11 other girls with a purple rose and a corny pick up line. It turned out to be my good friend Tommy...he bought a dozen roses and gave them to his closest girl friends. I thought it was relaly sweet! But so Lottie had a buffet dinner on Valentines Day and it was catered and everything.... very good :) While we were sitting there though this guy, Denny, walked over to my table and handed me a red carnation and got on his knees and said "will you be my valentine?" All the lax guys looked over and were standing and cheering. it was sooo embarrassing but funny.

FInally on Wednesday we were able to celebrate Valentines Day....we all got dressed up and went to a restaurant and it was a lot of fun. I didnt get pics of us with our dates or anything! Ill take a pic soon so you can see what everyone looks like though.

Bre's 19th Birthday!!!

Yayyy Bre is 19 :) That day was probally the most stressful day of my life. In case you havent guessed it by now Bre and I spend almost every waking (and sleeping for that matter) moment together...so it's very hard to keep things from her and to do things without her knowing. There were quite a few times where I said I was either at the language lab or computer lab just so I could go out with Robyn or Byrce to get supplies! (I wish I had my own car at school!)

SO I wake up Bre at about 12:15 and make her sit on the couch and tell her that she has visitors already for her birthday. After only being awake for a minute three of our guy friends burst in the door and danced around the room.... it's probally the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. They are goofballs.

Next we shower and get pretty for the day and I send Bre to the basketball game to meet people while I go out with a friend to buy balloons and so forth. I then met her at the game in enough time to see our friend Zach score his 1000th point! It was sooooo fun! He had to score 15 or so points that game to get it so everytime he scored we would be counting down. I left a little early and made our friend Vinnie distract her (he had a present for her so it worked out well). The only problem was Bre was hungry and wanted food but I had given Vinnie strict orders to not let her eat. Bre was soo confused and was not happy that she wasnt allowed to get dinner.

While she was preoccupied the girls and I got all dressed up to go out to dinner. (they took forever and Bre kept calling me asking me to save her from Vinnie because he was annoying her since she wasnt allowed to eat) I calmed her down by saying Id meet her at the union in a bit. So when we were all ready, all 12 of us girls went to the union and stood on the stairs and I called her to come with us. She was like What are you guys doing??? WHy do you look so good?? WHere are we going?? We took her to the Italian Oven restaurant and it is the cutest place ever. YOu drink your water through pasta noodles. THe food was cheap and amazing!

Then we went back to our dorms and at about 9 we called her into Julianne and Katie's room where we can happy birthday and ate cake. (even though we were still completely full!) After cake Bre was getting bored and was saying "Krissy its only 930... why arent we doing anything... its my birthday we have to do something" I kept saying idk Bre the night is young we will think of something. Finally I wa slike ok Bre Bryce wants us ot go watch a movie in his room lets go. So we walked all the way to naugle in the snow...and got to his room. WHile we were there he looked at his friend and was like "hey wait isnt the recruit here tonight? ok lets go get him really fast" SO we go down to the basement and all teh lights are off and a strobe light is going on and everyone yells SURPRISE!!!!!!!! she was completely shocked!

THen we turned the music up and danced the night away! It was so much fun. THere were so many people there too!

WIth all teh excitement of BRe's birthday I didnt get to sled... but I think thats waht i plan on doing tonight :)

This past weekend = craziness! I saw the movie "when a stranger calls" and although parts were cheesy i really liked it! but im a sucker for scary movies. Saturday night I went to a Copeland concert and it was seriously amazing! Has anyone heard of them? They rock! I was right in the front thanks to my friends pulling me up there haha. I even shook hands with the lead singer :) After the concert we had a dance party! haha yea for some reason they have had a lot of those here lately.... it reminds me of when I was in 8th grade! But i love dancing so its great. The theme was like preppy (or guys were golfers and girls were tennis players....?)or something? idk they always have dumb themes. so we all had like collared shirts and stuff. My friend is supposed to send me the pics from it so I'll post them soon. Sunday of course was the SuperBowl so I went to a superbowl party and that was fun too.


Although that weekend was fun i can NOT WAIT til this weekend. Bre, my roomate and best friend here at school, is turning 19 years old!!!! I'm throwing her a suprise party! But yea so i have lots of work to do to plan it but im excited. just pray that I dont act too obvious and give it away! So after this weekend I will have soooo many pictures haha. It's just a matter of finding time to put them up here.... But I hope everyone is having a great time at home!

So guess who managed to pull of an A in writting intensive philosophy over J-term....

I am go glad that I am done with that class. It consisted of a 2-3 page paper every night and a 3-5 page every week. But I did it! haha

Well I had a good time over break! It was very relaxing and a nice break from my hard course! I wish I had gotten to see more of you guys but I am thankful for the people I did get to see!

I got my first pedicure ever! Looks good huh? hahah please excuse my dirty flip flops. It was so fun though! I almost kicked the lady in the face though because it tickled so much!

Oh and sorry if you don't like this pic linnea...its not good of anyone but I had to put it up....all three of us "goddesses" hahaha

Hey everyone! I'll be home from Tuesday afternoon until Sunday so if you want to do anything give me a call :)

This weekend was very interesting....Friday night some of the girls and I went to a "White Out" party that some of the lacrosse players were throwing. You are supposed to wear all white, but My friends and I must have left all the white pants we own at home...haha so we wore jeans. Then we went to this apartment on campus and they had black lights on so all our white glowed in the dark. People then had highlighters that they were writting on eachother with. I asked Nicki to draw a star on my arm, but it ended up looking more like a leaf hahaha. But anyway then it was a big dance party and it was so fun! Bre and I decided that we are going to do that in our quad. Aimee is bringing back a strobe light and maybe ill find a black light or something. But i think it would be fun! After the party some of us went to a diner and then to WalMart...which we eventually got kicked out of for no reason...and I'm not just saying that. THe first thing they said when we walked in was "you might as well leave because if you do one thing we will kick you out" and next thing we know we are being followed. I'm sure it did look suspsious having 10 18/19 year olds walking around in white....like a gang or something haha but it was seriously ridiculous bc we did nothihng wrong.

Saturday I got ahead on some school work and then I went to Friendlys that night for dinner! It was fun. The food was actually good and I dont remember the food at the one we had in Salisbury being anything special. The icecream of course was amazing!

Sunday my brother and I went over to my uncles house for dinner and that was a lot of fun! Home cooked meals rock haha My brother and I talked about singing a song together for a coffee house soon. I hope that it works out!

this is like the 100th time ive tried to post this.......i hope it works

I have never felt God's hand guiding my life as much as I have this past month. It's an amazing feeling to think that everything going on right now is what God planned.

Nannie's fruneral was beautiful. My mom was so brave and even spoke during the service! I'm so proud of you mom :)


So I thought this weekend was going to be horrible because literally all of my girlfriends went home due to the 3-day weekend. Bre and I were the only ones left. It was actually a lot of fun though! I'm not used to going to bed early though so my 8 am class is going to stink. only 7 days left! I'm actually starting to like my class, however I am ready for it to be spring semester!


I'll be home on break next wednesday.... isn't that weird?

We called her Nannie.

I'm sure that we have all wished we knew someone better after it was too late. Well, I recently have been feeling this towards my grandmother Nannie. Now of course I knew her, but I mean I wish I really knew her so that I could have better understood her.

You see, if any of you have actually met my grandmother, you could tell that she had a story. In fact she had many and she was always more than willing to tell anyone around her who was willing to listen. She loved people, the weirder, the better haha. Nannie was always interested in the theature...maybe that is where I got it from? She came to all of my Rock-N-Roll Revival Shows, except for one which was due to a terrible snow storm in Baltimore. Nannie always told me how I had to have taken after her to be so comfortable on stage. It's nice to know that I will always have that part of Nannie with me.

This Christmas was like every other Christmas in the Robins' household. We went up to Baltimore to visit my Mom's mom for lunch and then my Mom's dad for dinner. As usual I decorated Nannies christmas tree with her other grandchildren. Nannie made sure to tell us the story behind each ornament as we put it on the tree, like i said, with Nannie there is always a story. Because there are always so many people there, it's hard to get one on one time with her. But this year she asked me to help her with presents because she was not able to do it herself. So into her computer room I went, and it was just us for a long time talking. Now I realize that God must have given me that time with Nannie, to be with her one on one.

The day after Christmas my dad's family came over, as well as Nannie and my Uncle Thomas. The first thing she did was to look at our Christmas tree, like usual. She loved seeing the ones that she would give us on our tree. She got along with my dad's family so well and they all loved her and got a kick out of her. Once again today I was given opportunity to talk to her one on one and hear more about her life. It was always funny to see what she got me for Christmas. My Uncle's liked to call it "Nannie crap" because it would always be something you wouldn't think you would get, or even existed. This year my mom and I got matching stockings with holly leaves all over them haha. I also got a basket weaving kit! Who knows maybe I'll actually try that. Without a doubt though, every year we got a disposable camera and chocolate coins. She passed the tradition of chocolate coins onto my mom too.

Sometimes the expected comes too soon. We all knew that Nannie was really sick but it still doenst seem real. I know that next Christmas it will really hit me. Please pray for my mom and her brothers because they have done so much for her over the years and I know this must be really hard on them. I don't even want to think about what it would be like to lose a parent, a grandmother is bad enough. But as I look back onto her last days, she really did have a great time. Nannie is the type of person that leaves an impression on the heart of everyone she meets. I like to think that she went out with a bang, and thats Nannie for you. I am thankful that I was able to have her for my grandmother.

First week back at School= SUCCESS!!!!

Although I'm beginning to think that I picked the wrong class to take over January....Writting Intensive Philosophy is not the best class to have for 3 hours a day.... starting at 8 in the morning haha. It's not too bad though, I like it. I am the only freshmen in the class, all the others are juniors or seniors so i feel that everytime i make a comment people are thinking "stupid freshmen!" haha just kidding everyone is nice.

It's also great seeing all my Solly 3rd girls again! They are also girls and I think they might come stay a week with me in the summer! You guys would love them!

So I told myself that I would lock myself in my room this week to study....but when you have 3 other roomates I guess that doesn't happen.

Wednesday MC has a "deck the halls" competition. And naturally, Solly 3rd won! Every part of the hall was decorated, one part was a candy making place, one was a reindeer pin (where we had someone dressed up as a reindeer), there was a post office, a toy factory. in the kitched we made sugar cookies and icing for people to decorate cookies. This is also where my friend Jamie, I mean Santa, sat in her office haha. shes so funny. She was like 'why do i always get stuck being the guy in everything we do!'

Last night, Thursday, Bre Julianne Keena and I went to the wrestling match. It was fun going again because I used to be the manager of Bennetts wrestling team and it had been a long time since i saw a match! Bre Julianne and I painted M C on our cheeks and we won t-shirts! At the match there was this one man that had on a sparkly purple mask, a blue bow tie, ot pink shirt, and tie dye pants...... he was an oldman and no one knew who he was.... he won a sweatshirt for school spirit though haha. One of the wrestlers said that he was going to find us singlets to wear over our clothes for next time so that we will win a better prize........ we will see about that. hahahah

So i was invited to go to a Relient K concert tonight for only 15 bucks....... I know I shouldnt go...... but 15 BUCKS! I don't know when I will ever study!!!!

I hope that everyone who was fortunate enough to see the midnight showing last night had an awesome time! I'm jealous but I'll see it when i come home.....by the way thats 6 flipping days! w00t w00t! My dad is picking me up in his new truck! I'm excited, i think it will be fun driving back with him.

Oh and by the way..... the snow cancelled by first 2 classes today....all i have to say is... it was amazing getting 3 extra hours of sleep and not having to go to an 8 o clock class :) haha

Well i figured that this would be my last weekend of fun here this semester since next weekend I will most likely be studying the whole time. :( Oh well its almost over!

Friday my friends and I decided to go to Lancaster! So many of us fit into this little station wagon! it was fun. one of the pics is 7 of us smashed into the car. My friend Katie got the front seat to herself and so did the driver. haha Everyone decided they wanted to get another part of their ear peirced or something. One of my friends wanted to get one of those TINY TINY nose peircings and shes from lancaster so she knew a place there that was definately clean. I thought about getting a second hole or something but I am poor and it was so spur of the moment I didnt know if i actually wanted another peircing or if I was just going to get one because my friends were getting it done. Ya know? So i figured it would be better to wait. We went shopping though and the mall was amazing. Then we went to some little diner. it was cute. I have been to more diners here then my whole life. We then went to visit Nicki ( not Kicki) house. It was so nice to be in a home again! Her dad was embarrassing her with stories and it reminded me of the many times my father has done that to me and it made me miss him a lot. i have only seen him twice since I've been at college and ive been home 4 times.

Saturday I went with Kathleen Katie and Julianne to York College. Kathleens boyfriend picked us up. My friend Jon Nolan goes there so i got to see him which was fun! Anyway seeing that college made me VERY thankful that I go to Messiah. I am very spoiled here. I never realized that other schools might not have carpeted dorms and hallways and i have never been thankful that our ceiling tiles arent moldy or falling apart. Messiah rocks :) Anyway it was fun going there. At night it started snowing there a lot! Like really really hard. We all ran outside and caught snowflakes on our tongues! It was beautiful. I was very scared however that we were going to get stranded there hahaha but we made it back safely.

Today, Sunday, after church my friends and I watched the movie "Elf" and boy do i LOVE that movie. Will Farrell is adorable and cracks me up. We all attempted to do our homework but it didnt happen. I have a 5 page paper to write and I still have not started...oops. I have to compare my life to this book I read and the book is about wizardry...... or something like that.... wish me luck haha.

Here is a quote from my weekend that I thought was very funny. It actually reminded me of Linnea and I when we would always try to get "the brothers" to play with us: While we were in the car Friday night and deciding what we were doing afterwards Nicki yells in her high pitched voice, "Where are we going where are we going??????? (no answer, everyone is silent) I feel like an annoying two year old kid that everyone just ignores and pretend that I never said anything" i guess it was funnier in person but it made me laugh a lot :)

These next two weeks are going to be insane!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhh

Two Weeks Left

Now that Messiah Soccer is over ... it's basketball time! And our basketball team is really good too! Last night we played E-town and won. We are playing Salisbury next Tuesday! That will be an interesting game haha. I'm still mad that we never got to play them in soccer :(

Last night a band called "Lovedrug" played at the Union. They were pretty good. Some guy came up to my friends and I and asked if he could get a picture of all the Solly 3rd girls.......it was really weird. None of us even knew the guy. I'm sure it was harmless but never the less, being the skeptical girl I am, I told him that we charged for photos and weren't interested. After they played Bre, one of my roomates, made me go with her to ask the bass player if she could get a picture with him hahaha shes a funny girl.

At night my roomates and I always turn on Christmas music to calm us down from stressful days. It really does work! And Christmas music just puts me in a good mood haha.

The semester is quickly coming to an end and that means exam time. I'm nervous to take my first college final exams...I'm sure they are a lot different from highschool ones. But anyway so I just wanted to encourage everyone else who is preparing for exams, or who are just really busy right now to remember who it is that we are glorifying through our work. He will carry us through :) and it will be over soon!

Off to school I go....

Well as you all know this past weekend I was at Home Sweet Home. I love Holidays at home! I had a lot of fun...maybe too much because now I am a sick puppy. I got to see so many people that I hadn't gotten to hang out with in a while! I have to admit, it is weird coming back. I felt as though I had to fit as many activities as possible in during my break. I'll make sure to not make this mistake again haha. Well here was my vacation

Tuesday: After getting a 100% on my Biology for El. Ed. majors final project I was more than ready to go home! (she also said that I was a natural teacher:) it's always nice to hear that!) I got home and said hello to my parents and the kitties and then ran to try to catch the last bit of one of Greg's games. I made it for 10 minutes! I did love seeing him play though, its been a while. We hung out for a little while then I went to meet up with some of my friends I went to highschool with. We played some shout out game??? I dont know but it was fun!

Wednesday: I woke up and baked with my mom :) She is a great teacher to learn from. Being away from home sometimes I forget how cute my mom is and how fun she is to be around! Then I went down to the Taylors and hung out there for the day. Ben came home that night and so I got to see him and Linnea too!

Thursday: IT WAS THANKSGIVING. And I watched way too much of the Lost show than any normal person should. It was addicting. From now on I am banning them from our Thanksgiving festivites!

Friday: I watched a movie with my parents! Then I went to Elizabeths new apartment! She bought a new kitten. She had a bunch of girls over that I used to hang out with in highschool and hadn't seen in a while so it was a lot of fun!

Saturday: I went to Salsaritas with Greg and went to the mall for a little bit. Then the Townsends had an awesome Bonfire! I liked when we did that word game (ex. Captain Crunch, cheddar cheese and so on).

Sunday: I got to go to church!!!!!! Oh how i missed it.

Anyway sorry for the long post. It's fun re-living my break haha I had so much fun and I can't wait til Christmas break. It is nice being back to school though. I have so much work to do before break but it will be ok haha. I hope all of your Thanksgiving breaks were good too! Love you guys


OH AND BY THE WAY.... MESSIAH WON IN GREENSBORO AND THEREFORE IS UNDEFEATED AND THAT MEANS WE ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!! THAT GOES FOR OUR MENS AND WOMENS SOCCER!!! GOOO MESSIAH!!!!

Wow. This has been, by far, the best weekend I have had here at Messiah College. I love it here!!!! There is no way I can even begin to write down everything that happened this weekend. But God sure has blessed me with amazing friends here at college and I'm so glad I met them! I included a few pictures but I'll have to tell you the stories in person, they are always better that way. Messiah did win its game on Saturday as well though so our boys are going to the Final Four!!!!! It's amazing! But anyway this weekend's events ranged from going to the soccer games, haunted houses, to being brought back to Messiah College in a cop car........ hahahah yea like I said I will explain when I get home but this weekend was so fun. (And mom I heard you are reading blogs now too, don't worry I will explain when I get home :))

I come home tomorrow! How exciting. I did so much work so that I wouldn't have too much to do over break. And I am so excited to teach my class tomorrow! Woo Hoo! Life is great!

So today I scheduled my classes and I got all but one of the classes I wanted... so thats not too bad! Then I went to the soccer game against Maryville and of course we won :):):) 5-1! It was a lot of fun. I put a couple pics of the girls and I at the game. (on the top row from left to right is kicki, katie and kelly, then the bottom row is keena, julianne, me, and bre-just thought it might be helpful to put names with the faces)It was so freezing though!!! There was some guy from the other team that dressed up in a kilt and was running around without a shirt on.... it was weird haha but at least he wasn't rude or anything.

The weather is so cold right now, I almost feel Fall weather was skipped! And I don't like that because fall is by far my favorite season. Last year I went to a football thing that Mr Franklin set up for the youth group and I had soooo much fun. I think that we should play football this year! Not like real hard core football but just for fun!

Anyway..... 2 days of classes and 4 days til im home! almost 3! I'm about to go watch a movie so I will see you all soon!
