Well there are many things I feel that I can take away from my job as a camp counselor this summer.....

There are the "cool" new bad words to call my friends: such as terd nugget, butt muncher, and my personal favorite- diaper licker.

There are also the numerous new "handgames" ....that ive been told are much cooler than miss mary mac....the most popular one now is called tic tac toe and involves punching the loser... very interesting.

There are also the little kid sicknesses such as pink eye. thats right, I currently have pink eye. I was sent home from camp so that I don't get others infected. I feel like im in elementary school again. Hahaha

But its been a great experience! I'm thankful that I worked here this summer. I met a lot of adorable kids...and ive also come up with a short list of names i probally won't name my future children because it brings back memories of those not so adorable ones...No I'm just kidding but I definately had a few characters in my class. I"ll explain later :)

Mrs. Peipon convinced me that I needed to start blogging again to keep her posted! So here I am :) This is just a test because I don't know if this will work... i forgot my password and had to go through all this other stuff in order to get into here haha. Hopefully i'll be back soon!

Last weekend my friend Bryce had a crab feast so we all went and got free crabs :) it was a lot of fun. I wish I could have gone to my moms suprise party but it just didnt work out. I heard it was a lot of fun though.

This weekend a couple of my friends that didnt come back this year are visiting!! I'm sooo excited to see them.

Anyway I just wanted to post to let you all know that I'm still alive...even though I don't have too much of a life because I'm in the library at least 3-4 hours a day for the most part. Classes are so hard this year. When people that say Elementary Education majors don't do work..or only color posters...send them to me and I'll show them haha. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed...especially since I have a part time job this year. I know that it will all be ok though... its just hard getting used to new teachers and how they give tests. I've never had this much reading or pop quizzes in my life i'll tell you that.

But don't get me wrong. I'm loving it here. I know I probally sound like a dork but I enjoy having to do work....I just have to scream every once in a while to show that it will all be over soon. Just one test at a time :) Next week I have 4 exams and a quiz. Please pray :)

As much fun as it is to play in the rain I've had enough...It's pouring 24/7 and my umbrella broke yesterday. :( Luckily I still have this blue poncho thing that my mom made me bring against my will (thanks mom).

I was supposed to bring this dip to alex's apartment, because all the guys are watching the Penn State vs. Georgia Tech football game (yes football has started which means all the guys have gone crazy).

Here's the recipe:

3 cups grilled chicken
2 8oz. cream cheese
8 oz. ranch dressing
12 oz. hot wing sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

mix it all the middle three then add the chicken and cheese and bake for like 40 minutes or something. serve warm with tostitos or celery.

Ive never made it before but it sounds good? But I do not feel like bringing it over in the pouring rain! Too bad... I guess the girls will get a treat instead haha :)

Finally all my girlfriends are here! As I'm sure many of you remember that they turned Solly's third floor into a guys floor...well it already smells and they are loud haha but its fine. It's nice to see everyone again and it's like we picked off where we left off! I'm so excited!

Today they were giving away free ice cream at the Union so Becky Nicki Bre and I went there to check it out. I ended up signing up for the Student Activities Board. This way I can have a say in the different concerts that come here and in Homecoming and other stuff. I'm excited!

After that I convinced Bre Nicki and Michelle to jump off this rope swing that Alex showed me the other day when he and his roomate and I went fishing ( well i watched haha ). It was so fun! If anyone comes here when its decently warm out we will definately go on it. You land right in the creek!

Tomorrow is when classes start. I still don't have all my books. I'm nervous because this semester will be harder but I'm also excited to get back into a schedule. Maybe this semester I'll get a 4.0????? ha proballu not but there is always hope. OH I'm working this semester too...sitting outside of the sports rooms and stuff so not too hard.


Anyway I'll get pictures up here eventually. Bye :)

Well...... I'm back at school and I'm all moved in! Bre gets here today so that will be fun. I have decorated a little bit but I wanted to wait to do most of it when she got here. classes start Tuesday.... ahhh. This year is going to be a lot harder but hopefully I won't be overwhelmed. I'm ready and excited though...


I'm still waiting for my results on my last Praxis 1 exam...(for those who don't know, in order to become an elementary education major you have to pass the Praxis 1 which consists of reading, writting, and math.) I passed the first two and am just waiting on writting. Writting was my hardest one too because it dealt a lot with grammer...and well as I'm sure you can tell while reading my posts, I don't have very good grammer.


But anyway sorry that I did not get to say goodbye to a lot of you. I had procrastinated and decided not to pack until it was my last day possible. But hopefully I'll have some pictures soon.

P.S. Hannah - I ran into Nikki last night at the freshman luau party (my friend and i went for the free smoothies haha) and she seems to be doing great :)

Linnea brought me an icee at work today!!!! Thanks so much! It was a nice surprise on such a hot day!

Here are some pictures that I thought you might enjoy about my old man. Hannah and Rachel helped me decorate the house for when he came home from John Hopkins. I made sure to include a picture of the special balloon that Rach made (and was VERY proud of) she called it her bumblebee balloon. My family was a little confused by it hahaha but I thought it was cute! Anyway please continue to keep my dad in your prayers. He is getting very tired of everything and not being able to do anything. You know my dad, he can't sit still :)

My little Mary Liz is moving to a new apartment! I was at her current apartment helping her pack for a couple hours on Saturday. I'm excited because shes letting me help her decorate the new one! I haven't gotten to do that in so long :)

Does anyone still watch Lost????? THe season finale was crazy! I didnt even watch that much this season (im waiting for the dvd to come out) but i still cant wait til the next season to find out what the heck is going on. I had a Lost party where Claire and I made tacos for everyone and we watched the finale.

Thursday was Jon's 19th birthday! we always throw him a surprise party...so its not really a surprise anymore. but they always have some dumb theme. last year was cowboys and this year was superheros... and we have to dress up hahaha just for fun. i was cat woman since i already had a cat costume from halloween. my friends were everything from batman to some xmen characters. tom even dressed his dog as spiderman. the dog ended up wetting his costume though :( poor pup.

Friday was the senior graduation! what a large class it was graduating this year. so exciting! good luck to everyone as they start a new adventure :) haha

Home Sweet Home


I realized that I don't post nearly as much when I'm home as when I'm at school... I need to work on that. Well summer is here! I need to start taking pictures of what I'm doing so I can post them!

Eventually I will be working at the same Peach stand that Lin and Mrs. Shelton worked at last summer. But as for now I am a substitute Teachers Aid...and I love it. I fell in love with the 2nd grade class, which happens to be the age I want to teach! I don't want it to end!

In June I'll be taking a history class. I love history, but not classes at 8 am in ... especially in the summer.

Anyway its nice to be back, even though i miss my friends from college. its weird because when i come back it seems that everything and nothing has changed at the same time. Does that make sense?

Well I want Ritas. so im going to go get some. yea. haha I'll see everyone tomorrow!

The dance was sooooo much fun! My friends all looked gorgeous. I love them. It was very hot though. There were three floors of dancing but most people wanted to be in the same one so it was crammed. But it was still awesome!
